Have you also felt like you have been stuck in the same rank for a very long time, and you just cannot rank up no matter what? We all get stuck unless you are Shroud; Valorant’s ranking system could help you if you use and know the system perfectly. Even smoking for your teammates could improve your combat score.

The Rank Rating (RR) you receive in winning a match is calculated on the Average Combat Score (ACS) you have at the end of the match. The ACS is calculated per round and is calculated on the given parameters: —

  1. Kills: — You receive points on every kill depending on the number of opponents alive. If you have all 5 opponents alive and manage to get the first kills for the round, you get 150 points, and the points get progressively low. If you have 4 opponents alive and you get a kill, you get 130 points, and it keeps decreasing by 20 points depending on the number of opponents alive. If you have the last enemy remaining and manage to kill them, you only get 70 points.
  2. Damage: — You receive one point per damage dealt in a round; ex, if you deal 80 damage in a round, you will receive an 80 combat score at the end of that round.
  3. Multiple kills in one round: — You get an additional 50 points if you manage to get more than one kill in a round; for eg, if you manage to get the first three kills of the round, you get 150, 130, and 110 points for the kills. Additionally, you will also get additional 100 points for getting 2 additional kills.
  4. Assist without damage: — Suppose you are playing Kay/o, Sage, or any other agent. Any ability you use could also be used to get more points. For example — You flash an enemy, and your teammate gets the kill, you get additional 25 points, and in case you heal a teammate and they get a kill too, you get additional 25 points for that too.

These 4 points majorly comprise the ACS at the end of the match. The higher the ACS, the better; once you start having games with high ACS, the MMR (Matchmaking rating) increases, resulting in you getting more RR on a win and losing less RR on a loss, and would surely help you get rank up easier in the game.
